The Oxford Latinitas Project was established in 2017 by a group of friends in collaboration with faculty members at Oxford and Vivarium Novum to support the study of the humanities at Oxford through the cultivation of Latin as a living language. Starting from a small reading group, we now offer 5-6 hours a week of instruction or discussion in spoken Latin (and, as of Michaelmas Term 2018, Ancient Greek), coordinate a yearly study week at Vivarium, and run workshops in schools in Britain and around the world.

You can also stay up to date by following us on Facebook. But you’ll get to know us best by coming to one of our classes here at Oxford. If you have questions or comments, and especially if your travels will take you to this ‘city of dreaming spires’, we’d love to hear from you.
